Over three hundred friends, neighbours, colleagues and family members came together at the Dockside Restaurant the evening of September 15 past to celebrate Beryl Wilson’s life and her contributions to our beloved False Creek South community. Her nieces Jan Rae and Andrea Peterson shared their memories of Auntie Beryl, and the impact she had on them and the rest of their family. Beryl’s older brother Eric was in attendance – engaging people one on one and thanking them for including his sister in their lives and their neighbourhood. Several other friends spoke, sang and  shared a myriad of anecdotes about our eccentric and beloved friend. The evening was filled with laughter, smiles, hugs, tears, — and the knowledge that we were incredibly blessed Beryl came our way. The emcee shared the last words Beryl spoke to him – “There are only two things in life that are important David. First that we are loved; and second that we made a difference in this world.” Without a doubt Beryl these words describe her to a ‘T’. We were honoured to call her friend…
