Vancouver’s City Council released its Strategic Priorities for housing through 2026 – and it includes “advancing towards optimizing the number of housing units on City land in False Creek South.”
This strategic direction, plus the City’s creation of the Vancouver Housing Development Office to advance middle-income housing on City-owned land, signals that growth is likely to arrive at the Olympic Village SkyTrain Station area.
At RePlan, we’re in touch with the City’s Planning department and, through the False Creek South Neighbourhood Association, have reaffirmed to Council that the community is ready to be involved (see letter in November 9 issue of Between The Bridges).
