False Creek South co-ops have been collaborating on their response to key lease terms in the City of Vancouver’s Report, Sustaining Affordable Co-op Housing on City Land, and in anticipation of lease renewal discussions in the community.

We are working with Marina Co-op, one of seven co-ops named in the City’s pilot negotiation group, and the only one in False Creek South. The Co-operative Housing Federation of BC is assisting us in the lead up to Marina’s negotiations and in developing financial modeling for Marina and other FCS co-ops.

In addition, the co-ops’ Authorized Working Group is meeting with Kathleen Llewellyn-Thomas, CoV General Manager of Community Services, and Dwayne Drobot, Manager of Partner Agreements, Community Services, to see if we can move the discussion about future leases for all FCS co-ops forward this year.
