We want to introduce Thom Armstrong to those of you who haven’t had the opportunity to meet him yet. Thom has more than 30 years of experience in the co-operative housing movement, holding leadership positions in Saskatchewan, Ontario and BC. He has been Executive Director of the Co-operative Housing Federation of BC (CHF BC) since September 2000, and is Executive Director of COHO Management Services Society and three community land trust foundations, all headquartered in Vancouver, BC. His career also includes a decade as Director of Corporate Affairs with the Co-operative Housing Federation of Canada, responsible for member and corporate relations for a portfolio of more than 60,000 co-op homes across the country.

Thom’s priority with co-op members is to pursue a shared focus on long term financial viability, prudent asset management, and the preservation and growth of a secure supply of safe, affordable housing in healthy, diverse communities.

*RePlan’s Joint Co-op Board Committee has been working with Thom in developing terms and conditions to help facilitate co-op lease renewals in False Creek South. And *RePlan has also worked with Thom to explore the potential of a community land trust as an alternative form of governance for FCS.
